Ashley Judd: Hollywood mogul sexually harassed me
Actress Ashley Judd says a major Hollywood bigwig sexually harassed her back in the late 1990s while she was filming a thriller, she revealed in a new interview. Judd told Variety that the mogul wanted her to watch him take a shower in his hotel room, according to the interview in Variety's Power of Women issue.
"I was making 'Kiss the Girls' at the time, and here I was, a declared feminist. I had completed a minor in what was then called women's studies, which we now call gender studies," Judd said in the interview. "And yet I did not recognize at the time what was happening to me. It took years before I could evaluate that incident and realize that there was something incredibly wrong and illegal about it."
"Kiss the Girls" came out in 1997. Judd said the mogul, who was from a rival studio, kept inviting her to his hotel room to talk about roles in his movies. She didn't name him but said he was one of the industry's most "admired-slash-reviled bosses."
