Arrest made in NYC taxi hit and run death
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - A 68 year-old man has been arrested after fleeing the scene of a fatal hit and run early Saturday morning.
The woman, identified as Kenya Flores, was killed fatally struck by a taxi in Manhattan and the taxi driver kept going.
The accident happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday on First Avenue near East 16th Street.
Police say the woman was lying in the roadway when she was hit by a yellow cab.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She was identified as 44-year-old Kenya Flores, of the Bronx.
Police have not yet released the identity of the driver at this time.
The man was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
