NEW YORK - An Amber Alert has been canceled Wednesday after a 7-year-old girl from Queens was found safe.
Jaila Puello, 7, was taken by her father, Jean Puello, 40, police said.
The pair had been last seen in a green 2002 BMW 530i with license plate number KFM2998, but later Wednesday afternoon the alert was canceled by authorities for reasons that are currently unclear.
Authorities said that Jaila was found safe, although it is unknown where she was found.
Later that evening, police announced that they had arrested Jean Puello, and charged him with attempted rape and menacing.
The girl was described as White-Hispanic, 4'1" tall, 60lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a pink shirt, black shorts, and grey shoes.
