Amber Alert for Queens girl canceled

NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - An Amber Alert was canceled in connection with the abduction of August Pippins, an 8-month-old black female from Queens after she was located unharmed.

Police say the girl was in a home with her mother when her non-custodial father burst in and forcefully removed the girl.

The girl was found about 8:15 a.m. Saturday.  She appeared to be in good physical condition and was taken to Harlem Hospital for observation.

Police arrested Jerome Pippins, 24, and said charges were pending.
