Amber Alert for Bronx girl canceled
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - UPDATE: The Amber Alert for Seniya Benitez has been canceled. She was found safe and sound, police said. Her biological father, Christian Benitez, is in police custody.

EARLIER REPORT: The NYPD has activated a New York State Amber Alert for a missing toddler from the Bronx.
Authorities believed that Christian Benitez, 21, abducted his daughter, Seniya Benitez, 2, from her home on Gleason Avenue on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at about 7:30 p.m. He is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with the girl, police said.
Seniya, who has autism, does not speak, police said. She was last seen wearing multi-colored pajamas, a blue jacket, and no shoes. She has straight dark hair and brown eyes.
Benitez is 5 feet 5 inches, about 160 pounds, and has brown eyes, black hair, and a light complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored coat and blue jeans and riding the No. 6 train at Castle Hill Avenue.
