NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - Hard to believe that 1 in 10 Americans lives in the desert. Not a desert of sand but a food desert. Food deserts are neighborhoods with very little access to fresh fruits and vegetables. But the problem is getting a little star power with the help of chefs Bobby Flay and Tom Colicchio and actors Adrian Grenier and Common.
The celebrities have teamed up with Naked Juice and Wholesome Wave, a nonprofit organization that thinks eating nutritious food shouldn't be a luxury.
For every fruit and veggie selfie shared with the hashtag #drinkgooddogood, Naked Juice is donating 10 pounds of produce to neighborhoods in need.
Bobby Flay thinks eating good starts when you're young. And Common thinks it's a matter of priorities.
