A mother's plea for answers in death of Clayton County teen
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - The anguish of a heartbroken mother became all too real when a hearse arrived on Eagles Feather Lane to remove her son's body.
“They killed my baby. Why would somebody kill my baby?” the mother screamed as the hearse backed into the crime scene Wednesday morning.
Anthony Lewis told FOX 5's Portia Bruner he found the body of his brother, Cedric Clark, Wednesday morning.
“I remember what he was wearing last night. I remembered the blue hoodie. I knew it was him when I saw him in the street,” said Lewis.
According to Lewis, his 17-year-old brother left their house around 8 p.m. Tuesday with a friend. An hour later, the friend returned looking for Cedric.
“He said, ‘Is Cedric here?’ I said, ‘Naw. He was with you.’ That's when he said there was someone shooting guns. Cedric ran one way and he ran the other way. We got out there and started looking for him. We looked all night. When he didn’t come home, we went back out there this morning to the same are where his friend said they were shooting and that's when we saw him,” Lewis said.
Cedric, 17, was a Junior at Charles Drew High School near Riverdale. His brother said he loved football, basketball and Junior ROTC. The school, only a mile from the crime scene, was on soft lock down during the early hours of the investigation.

“We believe the shooting happened last night in the area where the young man was found. We’re using all possible resources to solve this case and make a quick arrest,” said Deputy Clayton County Police Chief Jeffrey Woodall. He added investigators are working strong leads and interviewing people, but wouldn’t share any details.
“He not here’s now and that's bothering me. I just hope we get quick justice,” Clark's brother said just hours after discovering his brother's body.
There will be a memorial tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the Gateway Apartments at 852 Garden Walk Blvd in Riverdale, Georgia near the front entrance to the recreation area. The event is open to the public. The family asks those in attendance to bring candles and balloons in support of Cedric.
