New York real estate is famously expensive but the San Francisco area has its own eye-popping prices.

A 897 square foot bungalow in Palo Alto is listed for nearly $2.6 million.   The "charming bungalow" was built in 1924 according to listing site Redfin.

It has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, and a "quaint" eat in kitchen.  A Converted garage adds 200 square feet to the home.

The description says the house is just a short stroll to downtown Palo Alto.

The lot is 4,361 square feet, which the listing claims gives "abundant space to expand and/or remodel."

The listing puts the monthly property taxes at $2,589.

The home, which has been on the market for 2 weeks, had an open house on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
