76-year-old man dies after crashing pickup into NY house

HUNTINGTON STATION, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a 76-year-old man is dead after he crashed his pickup truck into a house on Long Island.

The incident happened at 11:50 a.m. Saturday in Huntington Station.

Suffolk County police say James A. Burke was driving a Ford Ranger pickup when he veered off the road, went through a fence and struck a house.

Burke was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities believe he may have suffered a medical event prior to the crash.
