A grandmother has been accused of stabbing a 7-year-old girl repeatedly in the Bronx, the NYPD said.
NEW YORK - A grandmother has been accused of stabbing a 7-year-old girl repeatedly in the Bronx, the NYPD said.
Police responded to a 911 call Tuesday around 8 a.m. inside 1317 Clinton Ave. in the Morrisania section.
According to police, the girl was found unconscious inside on a bed with several stab wounds.

An officer rushed the girl to Lincoln Hospital in his own police car. She is said to be in critical, but stable condition, police said.
Police said the 65-year-old woman, identified as Maritza Yauger, stabbed the girl in the neck, back and stomach.
She's being charged with attempted murder, attempted manslaughter, assault, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

A 7-year-old girl was stabbed in the Bronx and is in critical condition.
She also was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital for a medical evaluation.
