4 wanted for questioning in death of Cuomo aide
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance identifying four people wanted for questioning in the shooting death of an aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Carey Gabay, 43, a Harvard Law School graduate was shot in the head by a random bullet during the early morning hours of the West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn.
On Tuesday, police released photos of three men and one woman believed to have played a role in the shooting death in 2015.
The males are described by police as black and between the ages of 25 -30. The female is described by police as light skinned and 18-20 years old.
Gabay was struck in the crossfire between two rival gangs, said Cuomo following the incident on Labor Day. He was declared brain dead about a week later.
A $22,500 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the shooting death.

"Carey was the epitome of an outstanding public servant. He held a tremendous commitment to his community, and he chose to use his many talents to better the lives of others," Cuomo said in a statement. "New York is undeniably a better place today because of his service. He was also a friend and role model to the many people who were blessed to have known him, and he will be greatly missed."
