2 planes make emergency landing, 1 evacuated at PHL
SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - SKYFOX is reporting that a plane has been evacuated after two planes made emergency landings at the Philadelphia International Airport. One of the planes reported steering problems, the other reported smoke in the cockpit.
Both planes had landed safely, and passengers were evacuated immediately following the landing of the plane reporting smoke in the cockpit.
PHL released the following statement on the plane with smoke in the cockpit following the incident:
Details on the other plane have not yet been made available.
A traffic management ground stop was in effect according to the FAA, but has since been lifted.
