2 NYC museums offer summer block party encores

NEW YORK (AP) — A summer block party series is connecting East Harlem and Museum Mile with live music, art, dancing and food.

The Museum of the City of New York and El Museo del Barrio (ehl moo-SAY'-oh dehl BAHR'-ee-oh) say they're offering the Uptown Bounce series for a second year.

It kicks off July 22, when a DJ spins vinyl at a dance party at Fifth Avenue and 104th Street.

The museums are next door to each other.

Uptown Bounce will take place on their front terraces on four consecutive Wednesdays.
