2 men found dead in New Haven restaurant storage room
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The bodies of two men who may have overdosed on drugs were found inside a storage room behind a New Haven restaurant, police said.
The bodies were found Monday behind Jack’s Bar and Steakhouse near College and Crown streets, police said. Restaurant owner Marco Siguenza told TV station WTNH that they were an employee and a former employee of his restaurant. "We’re sad, confused and a whole bunch of emotions we can’t explain," Siguenza said.
Siguenza said a building manager and waiter discovered the two men in the storage area as they were gearing up for the lunch rush.
The medical examiner will determine the men’s cause of death, police said. Their names were not immediately released.
A third man was found outside of the supply closet suffering from an apparent drug overdose, police said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and was expected to survive.
Earlier on Monday, a jogger discovered a body near New Haven’s East Rock Park, police said. Investigators do not believe the person's death is related to the deaths of the men found in the storage room.
