12-year-old boy shot in the Bronx: NYPD

BRONX, N.Y. - A 12-year-old boy was shot in the hand in the Bronx. police said.

It happened at 1:27 p.m. on Tuesday inside a building on Home Street. 

Police said EMS took him to the Harlem hospital in stable condition.

Sources say the shooting was self-inflicted, but aren't sure if it was accidental or not.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
