11th annual Circle of Sisters

It was the 11th year of Circle of Sisters at the Jacob Javits Center. Thousands of women came down to this event which is meant to empower women of color.

The two days of Circle of Sisters was a huge success for vendors especially for the new businesses who were able to expose their products at an event like this with there's thousands and thousands of

Raqiyah Mays, author and radio personality for WBLS says its all about getting women together. “It’s to show the world we can be and who we are” she said.

Women of all ages spent their Saturday morning and afternoon sitting in on panels and shopping around.

“I like the women's empowerment concept and the different booths” said actor Malcolm Jamal Warner.

Nicole Harding is CEO of Celfie Cosmetics which launched  a year and a half ago. She took this opportunity to show case her make up line.

"The energy is contagious a lot of successful entrepreneur as well as consumers sisters of color of course who are looking to purchase products and be a part of this great amazing atmosphere" Harding said.

And Fox 5 News was in the house. Audrey Puente, Simone Boyce. Allison Moore, Mike Woods, for who the ladies lined up for. And Dari Alexander moderated a panel on reality vs 'real tv.'
