1 teen dead in Brooklyn double-shooting

A 16-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in busy downtown Brooklyn that left another teen with gunshot wound to the ankle. Armani Hakins of Queens was shot outside of Applebee's restaurant on DeKalb and Flatbush Avenues at about 6 p.m.

Hankins was shot in the head and rushed to Brooklyn Hospital Center where he was pronounced dead, reported the NY Times.

An 18-year-old is recovering from a bullet wound to his ankle.  He was taken to Methodist Hospital.

The NYPD said the investigation was ongoing.

No arrests had been made.
