Video: Gunman fires into crowded playground in the Bronx

The New York City Police Department released video footage from security cameras showing a terrifying shooting at a Bronx playground and then two men, one believed to be the shooter, calmly walking away.

The shooting happened inside Walton Park, at the corner of Walton Avenue and East 181 Street, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, police said.

A man pulled out a gun and fired several times into the playground, hitting two people, police said.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the foot and a 47-year-old man was hit in his forearm, cops said.  EMS took both victims to New York Presbyterian Allen Pavilion Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.

The gunman then took off northbound on Jerome Avenue, police said. Another man was seen fleeing westbound on Walton Avenue. Police want to find both of them.

They released the following descriptions.

Individual #1: Black, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, carrying a dark colored book bag, blue jeans, with green, black and white sneakers.

Individual #2: Hispanic, with a slim build, medium complexion and black Afro-style hair. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black underwear, blue jeans, black sneakers and a white undershirt. %INLINE%
