You can rent elegant jewelry for that special occasion

Rent. Rock. Return. Red Carpet Rocks is like Rent the Runway for jewelry, says Urvi Tejani, the creative director of Red Carpet Rocks. The pieces retail from $200 to $600. You can rent them for $25 to $80 whenever you need them.

Each piece of jewelry is available for a four-day rental. Orders ship via FedEx 2-Day in a beautiful box and bow. A pre-paid return label is included so you can ship your jewelry back in that same box when you're done.

Urvi came up with the idea after running her own bridal jewelry company, Tejani, for 14 years. She says her brides inspired her. They loved her jewelry and wanted to know if they could rent rather than buy.

Urvi started Red Carpet Rocks in New York in May with money from a couple of friends who loved the idea. She stocked the jewelry in her own closet.

She hand-delivered the jewelry, boxed and bowed in red shopping bags, offering a true red carpet experience, she says, to people in New York.

Red Carpet Rocks went national, with more than double the inventory, on Dec. 1. Urvi says she has more than 600 earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and fabulous cocktail rings.

There is something for everyone on the site, she says, whether it's a formal occasion or your next vacation.

Red Carpet Rocks, she says, really allows you to take your jewelry game to the next level.
