Passenger murdered in back of Uber vehicle

NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Police in New York say that a man on a bicycle rode up to an Uber vehicle and shot and killed a man sitting in the back seat.

It happened in front of 1047 Bedford Avenue in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.  The NYPD got a 911 call about shots fired just before 11:30 p.m.

When they got to the scene they found 26-year-old Jorge Vasquez of Brooklyn with gunshot wounds to his neck and chest.  EMS crews rushed him to Brooklyn Hospital but it was too late to save his life.

No arrests have been made and police only had a vague description of the gunman.
