Con Ed worker has shirt stolen off his back

An on-duty Con Ed worker literally had the shirt stolen off of his back.  It happened Thursday afternoon in Queens.

The NYPD says the 22-year-old worker was walking past 225-45 112 Road when a man approached him from behind holding a gun.  The thug ordered the victim to hand over his uniform shirt.

The victim, who was not named, complied and the robber jumped into a light colored SUV and took off.

The New York City Police Department is asking for help in identifying the man.  They released very grainy video of the suspect in the moments after the robbery.

He is described as a black man, approximately 30-35 years old and weighs approximately 175 pounds.  He was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  Police say that all calls are strictly confidential.
