Armed ice cream robbers wanted by police

Police in New York City are looking for a man and woman who are wanted for stealing ice cream from stores and threatening employees.

The NYPD says two incidents took place on the Upper East Side on Sunday.

In the first robbery, at 1:15 a.m. they went into a 7-Eleven store on 3rd Avenue. Police say the pair filled their jackets with several pints of ice cream.

As they attempted to leave the store, the clerk attempted to stop them. The man took out a knife a pointed it at the clerk’s face before running away.

At 5:30 p.m. the same day, the pair entered a CVS Pharmacy on Lexington Avenue. The man placed several ice cream containers into his jacket. As the pair left the pharmacy, the man showed his knife again and then they took off.
