14-year-old mother and newborn are missing

NEW YORK (FOX5NY) - Police in New York City are looking for help to locate a young mother who went missing with her newborn.

The NYPD says 14-year-old Tavasia Jackson was last seen Friday about 5 p.m. leaving her Staten Island home with her 3-week-old baby boy.  Her home is located on Warren Street and she has not been seen since then.

She is black, about 5'5" tall, 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.  She was last seen wearing  tan shirt, black shorts and gray sandals.

Police did not have a photo or description of the baby.  They also did not have any indication where she might have been headed.
